ServiceNow Discovery Engineer

As an experienced ITSM & ITOM professional, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the ServiceNow platform. Your role will involve configuring, managing, and optimizing the ServiceNow Discovery module to automatically identify, track, and map IT assets across the organization's network. Additionally, you will be managing ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of horizontal discovery and service mapping products. Key Responsibilities: - Configure, manage, and optimize the ServiceNow Discovery module - Manage ServiceNow Discovery and ServiceNow Service Mapping - Create and maintain custom patterns, probes, and sensors for internal discovery requirements - Establish and maintain discovery schedules - Monitor discovery and service mapping results, addressing any anomalies - Plan capacity of ServiceNow MID servers and configure appropriately - Collaborate with Service Owners and SMEs to ensure accurate service maps are discovered and maintained - Participate in platform upgrade planning, testing, and validation - Contribute to projects by preparing plans, assigning tasks, monitoring statuses, coordinating efforts, and delivering results on time - Write and/or review system specifications, including output requirements, flow charts, and technical diagrams Qualifications Required: - Operational experience with ITSM tools - Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with ITSM & ITOM modules and respective integrations - Proficiency in writing and reviewing system specifications - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Excellent communication and problem-solving skills In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you may have the opportunity to participate in projects that involve integrating various efforts into a comprehensive strategy.
