Job Description

As a Senior Analyst - SNOW CMDB, your role will involve managing and optimizing the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. You will be responsible for ensuring data integrity, supporting ITSM processes, and driving automation and integration initiatives to maintain accurate configuration item (CI) records and relationships. Key Responsibilities: - CMDB Administration & Maintenance: - Configure and maintain ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate representation of all CIs and their relationships. - Perform regular audits, reconciliation, and health checks to maintain data integrity. - Implement governance standards, naming conventions, and prevent duplicate CIs. - Integration & Automation: - Develop and integrate ServiceNow CMDB with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs. - Automate data imports, discovery processes, and synchronization tasks. - Support ServiceNow Discovery and Service Mapping for infrastructure and applications. - Process Improvement: - Recommend and implement enhancements to improve CMDB data quality and operational efficiency. - Collaborate with ITSM teams (Incident, Problem, Change, Asset Management) for seamless process integration. - Identify opportunities for automation and continuous improvement. - Reporting & Documentation: - Generate reports and dashboards on CMDB health, data quality, and compliance. - Maintain documentation for CMDB standards, CI models, and data dictionaries. - Stakeholder Collaboration: - Work closely with infrastructure, application, and security teams to ensure data consistency. - Provide training and support to end-users on CMDB processes and best practices. Required Qualifications: - Education: Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience). - Experience: 6-8 years of experience in ServiceNow CMDB administration and ITSM processes. - Hands-on experience with ServiceNow Discovery and integrations. - Skills: Strong understanding of ITIL principles and ITSM fundamentals.
