Role Description

Responsibilities

ServiceNow CMDB Development & Maintenance :

• Manage and enhance CMDB structure, relationships, and reconciliation rules.
• Ensure CMDB data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with governance standards.
• Implement CMDB health dashboards and data quality checks.
  

Scripting & Automation

• Develop using JavaScript / Glide scripting for CMDB automation.
• Build and optimize Transform Maps, Business Rules, Client Scripts, and Data Policies.
• Automate data loading processes through Import Sets and workflows.
  

Data Integration & Mapping

• Configure data integrations using REST, JSON, and Service Graph Connectors.
• Analyze payloads and handle complex data mapping scenarios.
• Work with Data Sources to support bulk and incremental data loads.
  

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution

• Diagnose and resolve CMDB data integrity and reconciliation issues.
• Perform root-cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with platform and infrastructure teams for integration issues.
  

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work closely with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, and Platform teams.
• Participate in requirement gathering, technical discussions, and solution design.
• Provide support during audits and ensure documentation accuracy.
  

Required Skillsets

Technical Skills :

• Strong hands-on experience with ServiceNow CMDB and its data model
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide Scripting, Transform Maps, Import Sets
• Knowledge of REST APIs, JSON, and Service Graph Connectors
• Experience with reconciliation, identification rules, and CMDB best practices
  

Analytical Skills

• Ability to analyze data payloads and perform advanced data mappings
• Strong troubleshooting skills for data integrity and transformation issues
  

Platform Knowledge

• Good understanding of ServiceNow architecture and modules
• Exposure to ServiceNow integrations and secure environments (White Room)
