Service Engineer

1. Installation & Commissioning:

• Install new laser machines at customer locations according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform initial setup, calibration, and testing to ensure proper functionality.
• Provide customer training on machine operation and safety procedures.

1. Maintenance:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on laser machines.
• Clean and replace parts such as lenses, mirrors, and filters to ensure optimal performance.
• Update software/firmware as necessary for machine efficiency.

1. Repair & Troubleshooting:

• Diagnose faults in mechanical, electrical, or software systems using diagnostic tools.
• Perform repairs on defective parts and systems to minimize machine downtime.
• Provide emergency on-site support for machine malfunctions and breakdowns.

1. Technical Support & Customer Interaction:

• Offer technical support and guidance to customers regarding machine operation and maintenance.
• Work closely with the customer to understand their needs and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain detailed service records and reports for each customer visit.

1. Upgrades & Modifications:

• Assist in upgrading older laser machines to enhance performance.
• Modify and optimize machinery according to evolving customer requirements

1. Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of installations, service activities, repairs, and customer interactions.
• Generate and submit detailed service reports after each visit or job completion.
• Provide feedback to management on recurring issues and potential improvements.

1. Travel & On-Site Visits:

• Travel to customer sites as required for installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
• Be on-call for emergency services when necessary.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience in servicing and maintaining laser machines
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems related to laser technology.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Willingness to travel and work in different environments.
