Service Engineer

As a Service Engineer at our company, your primary responsibilities will include: - Working safely both on-site and in our Service Department. - Performing field service, repair, machine commissioning, and training with potential travel of up to 50%. - Ensuring timely repair of machines returned to our Service Department. - Providing start-up and training for customers purchasing new and refurbished machines. - Fielding incoming technical phone calls to assist customers with proper machine function and troubleshooting. - Generating customer quotations for field service, customer site preventative maintenance, and customer employee training. Assisting Sales/Marketing with customer visits. - Writing field service reports and documenting with photos when necessary. - Collaborating with our team in Germany to resolve technical issues. - Maintaining an orderly Service Department. In addition to the primary responsibilities, you will also be expected to: - Assist in the Shipping and Receiving Department. - Prepare machines for shipment. - Support Sales/Marketing in preparing quotations for parts and machines. - Provide suggestions to increase internal and external efficiencies. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 3 years of machine repair experience. - College degree in Mechanical or Electrical Technology is a plus, while technical training and proven experience are a must. - Ability to read fluid power and electrical schematics. - Working knowledge of fluid power and electrical controls. - Excellent analytical, critical thinking, communication (both oral and written), and problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. - Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to pass a driving record screening.,
