Service Delivery - Operations

As a Data Centre Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing physical and remote hands-on support for data centre equipment, including servers, network devices, and storage systems. Your key responsibilities will include: - Performing routine inspections and maintenance of data centre infrastructure to ensure optimal performance. - Assisting with the installation, configuration, and decommissioning of hardware and software. - Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to data centre operations, escalating to higher-level support when necessary. - Monitoring data centre environmental conditions and responding to alarms and alerts. - Collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and efficient service delivery. - Maintaining accurate documentation of all activities, including incident reports, maintenance logs, and inventory records. - Adhering to data centre security protocols and best practices to ensure the safety and integrity of all systems. - Participating in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support as needed, including 24/7 rotational shifts. Qualifications required for this role include: - Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. - Proven experience in data centre operations, remote hands support, or a similar role. - Strong technical knowledge of data centre infrastructure, including servers, networking, and storage systems. - Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with data centre management tools and software. - Ability to lift and move heavy equipment as required. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as Cisco CCNA and Microsoft, as well as knowledge of ITIL processes and best practices.,
