Job Description

R1 Core Infra - Server Infra Engineer - Support , automate , implement
Skill Set - Windows, Linux, and Virtualization/HCIs (Nutanix ,Simplivity) Requirement to oversee the Windows, Linux, and Virtualization/HCIs ( Nutanix, ESXi, Simplivity ) within our organization.
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, and maintaining the Windows and Linux server environments, as well as managing the virtualization infrastructure utilizing Nutanix, ESXi, and Simplivity solutions.
The Engineer would ensure the optimal performance, availability, and security of these systems.
This position may be required to work outside regular office hours for system maintenance or troubleshooting activities.
Occasional travel may be required to support remote offices or data centers.
Participation in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical incidents or emergencies may be necessary.
Required skill :
2 to 4 years of hands-on experience managing Windows and Linux server environments.
Expierence in virtualization technologies, such as Nutanix, VMware ESXi, and Simplivity.
Understanding of Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI) concepts and experience with HCI platforms, particularly Nutanix and Simplivity.
Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (e.g., PowerShell, Bash,Python) to streamline administrative tasks.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and protocols, storage systems, and backup and recovery methodologies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to work under guidance and effectively prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
Desired Experience :
Any Relevant Certifications related to Windows, Linux or Virtualization would be valuable
Knowledge on AWS and Azure
Education :
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
