Job Description

Position Summary:

The SEO Associate will be responsible for executing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies to improve website visibility, organic traffic, and keyword rankings. The role requires a strong understanding of SEO best practices, analytical ability to measure performance, and coordination with the content and web development teams to ensure SEO excellence across all digital assets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. On-Page Optimization

  • Conduct keyword research and mapping for webpages and blogs.
  • Optimize titles, meta descriptions, headers, and URLs.
  • Implement internal linking strategies and ensure proper use of canonical tags.
  • Ensure keyword density, readability, and SEO-friendly content structure.

2.Technical SEO

  • Conduct regular site audits to identify crawl errors, indexing issues, and site speed improvements.
  • Work with developers to resolve technical SEO issues (Core Web Vitals, schema, redirects, etc.).
  • Optimize XML sitemaps, robots.txt, and canonicalization.
  • Monitor site performance using Google Search Console, Lighthouse, and Screaming Frog.

3.Off-Page SEO

  • Execute link-building campaigns through guest posting, outreach, and partnerships.
  • Identify and remove toxic backlinks.
  • Manage listings and citations across directories.
  • Track backlink performance using Ahrefs, Semrush, or Moz.

4.Analytics & Reporting

  • Track and analyze SEO performance metrics (traffic, rankings, CTR, conversions).
  • Prepare weekly/monthly performance reports for review.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve organic growth.

5.Collaboration

  • Coordinate with content writers, designers, and developers to implement SEO strategies.
  • Stay updated on search engine algorithm changes and SEO trends.
  • Support the SEO Manager in strategy planning and execution of new campaigns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Marketing, Communications, IT, or related field.
  • 12 years of hands-on experience in SEO (internship experience also considered).
  • Strong knowledge of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO.
  • Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, Semrush, Moz, Screaming Frog, etc.
  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and CMS platforms (especially WordPress).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Google Analytics or HubSpot SEO certification.
  • Experience with schema markup, Core Web Vitals, or e-commerce SEO.
  • Understanding of content marketing and keyword intent strategy.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

  • Improvement in organic traffic and keyword rankings.
  • Increase in domain authority (DA) and backlink quality.
  • Reduction in technical errors and site loading time.
  • Growth in organic conversions and CTR.
