Senior US Mortgage Underwriter || Live Underwriter

The Shared Services division in our organization leverages a shared delivery model to provide operations delivery to Business Units across the Commercial and Residential Mortgages vertical. Your role will involve reviewing and verifying loan applications and support documentation, analyzing loan risk, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and company policies, documenting loan conditions, and communicating decisions. Additionally, you will identify portfolio risks from client practices and effectively communicate reasons for loan approval/rejection. You may also be assigned other activities by your manager. Your skill sets should include a demonstrated understanding of mortgage guidelines for various programs, analysis of qualifying income from tax documents, credit reports, and bank statements. Experience with both automated underwriting systems and manual underwriting methods is required. Familiarity with third-party loan-level Fraud Reports and industry-recognized LOS is preferred. To qualify for this role, you should have at least 5 years of recent US Mortgage live underwriting experience, compliance review experience in the residential mortgage industry, and knowledge of current mortgage policies and regulations. Strong attention to quality, commitment to customer service, excellent time management, and the ability to work independently are essential. You should also possess superior communication skills, strong PC skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
