Job Description

US NFP/EBP Audit Associate

Key Responsibilities

Conduct audits of grant expenditures for compliance with federal and state regulations
Review financial statements and reporting practices of nonprofit organizations
Test internal controls related to grant management and reporting
Prepare detailed audit reports and present findings to management and stakeholders
Collaborate with nonprofit organizations to address financial deficiencies and recommend improvements
Stay updated on current regulations, best practices, and trends in nonprofit auditing
Support training and development efforts related to grant compliance for nonprofit staff

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum
3 years of auditing experience
, preferably in the nonprofit sector
Strong understanding of grant management regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
