Overview:

Faze Three Ltd is looking for a Textile Designer focused on home textiles for the UK and US export markets. This role is perfect for a creative individual keen to apply their talents in a team-oriented environment, contributing to innovative design solutions for home textiles.

Key responsibilities:

• Experience in the bedding department of Home Textiles, with a focus on top-of-the-bed products designed for the aesthetic preferences of the UK and US markets.
• Profound understanding of textile materials, with a specialization in fabric construction and a preference for candidates with extensive knowledge of weaving techniques.
• Expertise in various sampling techniques, weaving, printing, surface design techniques, and dyeing.
• The preferred candidate would have expertise in weaving.
• Commitment to staying abreast of the latest industry trends and innovations, with a keen ability to incorporate these into design projects effectively.
• Proficiency in a range of design software, such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, CAD software, and AI tools, to create visually compelling designs.
• Exceptional artistic ability, demonstrating quick turnaround times in creating original artworks.
• Detailed attention to the intricacies of weaving and fabric construction, ensuring the highest quality in textile design.
• Proven organizational and leadership skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach to project management.

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Textile Design from esteemed institutions like National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).
• Capable of comprehending buyer requirements and delivering CADs and artwork within set timelines.
• Proficient in English, with strong communication skills and knowledge of Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experienced with design software including Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the Home Textiles sector, preferably with a portfolio that highlights expertise in the export market.
• Strong knowledge in weaving techniques is highly preferable, indicating an extensive understanding of textile production and design complexities.
