Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Testing Engineer / Testing Team Lead with a solid background in manual testing, a strong understanding of testing methodologies, and proven leadership experience. You will oversee and coordinate testing activities, mentor junior testers, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role requires a proactive mindset, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in QA processes. Key Responsibilities: 1. Test Strategy & Execution Design, implement, and maintain scalable test strategies and plans for various projects. Review and approve test cases, test scripts, and test data to ensure thorough test coverage. Execute complex test cases and support team members in issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis. 2. Team Leadership & Mentorship Lead and mentor a team of manual testers; provide technical guidance and support. Allocate tasks, set priorities, and monitor workload to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables. Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training needs. 3. Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with developers, product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders. Participate in design and requirement reviews to provide early feedback on quality risks and testability. Champion QA best practices within Agile/Scrum development teams. 4. Defect & Risk Management Manage the complete defect lifecycle: logging, tracking, triaging, and regression validation. Conduct risk assessments and escalate quality concerns with appropriate mitigation plans. 5. Process Optimization & Innovation Identify opportunities to improve existing QA processes and introduce test automation where feasible. Establish quality metrics and monitor progress toward QA goals. Promote a culture of quality through process documentation, knowledge sharing, and workshops. 6. Reporting & Communication Prepare detailed test reports, dashboards, and QA summaries for stakeholders and leadership. Communicate testing status, key metrics, blockers, and risks effectively. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in manual testing, with at least 1–2 years in a lead or senior role. Deep understanding of software testing lifecycle (STLC), QA methodologies, and defect tracking processes. Experience in creating and managing test documentation using tools like JIRA, TestRail, QC, Bugzilla . Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a leadership mindset. Preferred Skills: Experience in mobile application testing on Android and iOS platforms. Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum environments. Familiarity with basic test automation concepts is a plus. ISTQB or equivalent testing certification is preferred. Exposure to CI/CD practices and basic understanding of DevOps principles.
