Overview

General Insurance - Senior Test Engineer
Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into
detailed test plans and test cases .
Executefunctional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing across insurance platforms.
Leadtest automation efforts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, or similar frameworks.
Collaborate withdevelopers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure test coverage aligns with business needs.
Log, track, and manage defects using tools likeJIRA, Zephyr, or TestRail .
Participate inrequirement walkthroughs, sprint planning, and defect triages .
Providementorship to junior QA engineers and promote best practices in testing.
Ensure compliance withinsurance regulations and data privacy standards .
Contribute toCI/CD pipelines and integrate automated tests into the development lifecycle.QualificationsBachelordegree inComputer Science, Engineering , or a related field.5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 7+ years in the insurance domain .Strong understanding ofinsurance workflows (Policy Issuance, Claims, Renewals, Endorsements).Experience withDXC Assure InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) is a plus.Proficiency intest automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, C#).Familiarity withAPI testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools.Experience5 to 8 years
