We are looking for an experienced Senior Techno-Functional Project Manager to join our Project Management Office (PMO) and help us continue our mission

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Techno-Functional Project Manager, you will be a key player in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You will be responsible for the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery from conceptualization to completion. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, quickly understanding their business processes, workflows, roles, and needs, and translating them into comprehensive business analysis documents that identify appropriate software features and functionality.
  • Conceptualizing and presenting solutions to clients, creating detailed user scenarios, workflows, and wireframes to illustrate your vision. Secure buy-in.
  • Evaluating and recommending off-the-shelf or open source solutions that can address customer challenges or technical requirements, either wholly or partially, to optimize project delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborating with our design experts to create mockups that effectively communicate solution recommendations.
  • Guiding technical decisions in close collaboration with Development, DevOps, and QA managers, ensuring scalability, security, and maintainability of applications. Engaging with architects and developers to resolve issues and mitigate risks early.
  • Mentoring and developing senior business analysts, fostering their growth in requirements gathering, stakeholder management, and solution design.
  • Serving as a central point of communication, ensuring transparency and alignment between internal teams and external stakeholders throughout the project.
  • Building strong relationships with business stakeholders, product owners, and cross-functional teams to align on objectives, priorities, and expectations.
  • Proactively monitoring project progress, identifying potential risks and issues, and reporting them promptly.
  • Managing and documenting changes to the project scope, and communicating their impact to clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the agreed-upon scope.
  • Handling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment while consistently delivering high-quality results.

Qualifications & Experience

To excel in this role, you should possess a blend of technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and a strategic mindset.

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 12+ years of IT experience with at least 5 years in project management or similar leadership roles.
  • Technical Acumen: able to discuss architectures, APIs, data models, and cloud/SaaS patterns.
  • Team Leadership: Proven track record of managing distributed development teams across different time zones.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Domain Experience (Preferred): Experience in one or more of the following domains is an added advantage: Logistics, Aviation, Supply Chain Management, or Insurance.

Required Skills

  • Project Management Expertise:

    A solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various project management methodologies.
  • Business Analysis Acumen:

    Mandatory experience in software requirements analysis with the ability to create detailed, well-documented requirements and quickly grasp customer business processes.
  • Solution Architecture:

    Ability to evaluate and recommend commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) or open source solutions alongside custom development options.
  • Critical Thinking:

    Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically to navigate complex challenges and make informed decisions.
  • Interpersonal Skills:

    The ability to build strong relationships with clients and team members, fostering a collaborative and productive project environment.
  • Mentorship:

    Experience in coaching and developing business analysts and junior team members.
