Senior Technician, Pipeline

• 8-12 years in CAD design for pipeline and facility projects.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and strong understanding of drafting concepts and CAD fundamentals.


• Knowledge of piping/pipeline design, permitting documents, and construction practices


• Proven ability to produce construction drawings and exhibits with minimal supervision.


• Proficiency in manipulating design tools in CAD software.


• Familiarity with MS Office, BlueSky, MicroStation v8i, and Bluebeam.


• High attention to detail and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.


• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to take direction.


• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in Skyline Alignment Sheet Software or similar.


• Understanding of design criteria and 3D modeling applications.


• Ability to develop design packages for linear pipelines in the Oil & Gas industry.


• Experience with CADWorx, AutoCAD Plant 3D, AutoCAD Map, Raster Design, AutoCAD VBA.

BGV:

• Employment with WSP India is subject to the successful completion of a background verification ( BGV ) check conducted by a third-party agency appointed by WSP India.


• Candidates are advised to ensure that all information provided during the recruitment process including documents uploaded is accurate and complete, both to WSP India and its BGV partner .

• Perform complex CAD assignments using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related tools under minimal supervision.


• Create, modify, and update utility drawings for facility, piping, and pipeline projects, including 3D models, 2D drawings, profiles, and as-builts.


• Prepare drawings for preliminary and final design stages.


• Generate material quantities and design element descriptions.


• Adhere to applicable design and drafting standards as directed by the manager.


• Interpret SUE data, survey results, and geophysical information for accurate underground utility representation.


• Collaborate with field crews, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate and clear drawings.


• Maintain and organize project CAD files, ensuring proper version control and documentation.


• Manipulate design tools in CAD software to create and label construction documents.


• Conduct property and existing utility research as needed.


• Mentor junior CAD technicians and ensure quality and consistency across deliverables.


• Adhere to WSP s Code of Conduct and make responsible decisions regarding company resources .
