Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Senior
Technical Writer
to develop and deliver high-quality documentation for our financial software solutions. This role requires adherence to established terminology, style guides, and editorial standards to ensure clarity, consistency, and usability across all deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, update, and maintain functional, technical, and user documentation for financial software systems within defined timelines.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Analysts, Development, and QA teams to gather detailed requirements and technical insights.
- Ensure documentation aligns with corporate style guides, terminology standards, and editorial quality benchmarks.
- Edit and refine presentations, release notes, and other customer-facing materials.
- Organize and manage documentation projects using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Incorporate AI-driven tools and techniques to enhance documentation efficiency and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain API documentation for internal and external developer audiences.
- Ensure all content supports regulatory compliance and financial industry standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Writer in a software development environment.
- Proven ability to produce technically complex documentation for enterprise-level applications.
- Strong skills in information gathering from busy Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Expertise in Microsoft Word and proficiency in other documentation tools.
- Hands-on experience with MadCap Flare for authoring and publishing structured content.
- Experience in API documentation (REST, SOAP, or similar) and related tools.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted documentation tools and workflows.
- Excellent command of English writing and editing skills.
- Financial domain knowledge is a strong advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of single-sourcing strategies and content reuse.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Ability to work with XML/HTML and structured authoring principles.
- Experience with content management systems (CMS).
- Familiarity with Agile development environments.
