Role Overview: You will be joining our Sort and Scan domain team as an experienced technical writer. Your role will involve researching, outlining, writing, and editing content in collaboration with various departments. Your primary focus will be on understanding technical requirements and creating documentation that adheres to organizational and legal standards. Key Responsibilities: - Research, outline, write, and edit content in collaboration with IT, P&E, and Operations departments. - Develop procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation by gathering information from subject-matter experts. - Identify documentation repositories, revise and edit content, and determine solutions for data compilation and storage. - Create and maintain technical and operational rollout templates, training documentation, and user manuals. - Develop content in alternative media forms to ensure maximum usability and consistency in voice. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in journalism, communications, or a relevant technical field. - Firm understanding of SDLC (systems development lifecycle). - Previous experience in software development and agile methods. - Professional certification such as the Society for Technical Communication. - Experience in using XML tools for documentation creation.
