Senior Technical Professional - Instrumentation/Controls

The role of an Instrumentation Engineer involves performing various project technical tasks assigned by the Instrumentation Discipline Lead. These tasks include design, checking, layout definition, preparation of installation drawings and material definition, validation, testing, and engineering of process measuring sensors, process actuators, installation elements, and process safety elements. As a Senior Technical Professional, you will interface and coordinate with other Project Team Specialists and Designers to ensure the successful completion of the project. You will also be responsible for coordinating technical activities performed either insourcing or outsourcing, with a required experience level between 8-12 years. Your responsibilities will include executing activities within your area of responsibility while ensuring compliance with QA/QC and HSE requirements. This will involve tasks such as developing technology know-how and providing commercial support, feasibility analysis, and participating in the bidding phase and commercial proposal development. You will support the Discipline Lead in preparing instrumentation elements, quantities, man-hours, and cost estimates. During the project execution phase, you will review client technical documentation and requirements, coordinate subcontracted engineering activities, and define engineering design basis and guidelines. You will be responsible for preparing technical documentation for instrumentation elements, material, and services requisitions, as well as providing technical support to the Project Team. Additionally, you will optimize instrumentation design for cost-efficiency and minimal complexity while ensuring compliance with contractual and safety requirements. This will involve preparing instrumentation technical specifications, data sheets, installation specifications and drawings, BOQs, MTOs, and participating in P and ID mechanization. Furthermore, you will validate vendor control valves and safety valves sizing calculations, vendor measurements elements sizing calculations, and coordinate engineering activities. You will ensure instrumentation 3D modeling design activities and participate in Factory Acceptance Testing (F.A.T.) activities and Vendor workshops. During the construction and start-up phase, you will provide technical and engineering support to the construction team and perform site engineering activities to ensure successful construction and commissioning phases.
