Job Description

We currently have openings for Senior Technical author position and please feel free to refer any of your friends are interested and suitable for below JD.

Position : Senoir Technical Author (2)

Location : Mumbai/Bangalore

Experience : 4 years+

Job Responsibilities:

Technical author- Must have at least 4 years working experience in providing Maintenance and Operations instructions/Installation instructions.
Have good understanding of the Aircraft/Mechanical systems and components.
Collaborate with subject matter experts, developers, and product managers to gather information and understand technical concepts.
Involve in the creation/revision of Maintenance tasks in Windmill/Automobile/ Hydro Power stations /Marine/Rail sectors based on the customer supplied inputs.
Exposure to tools like SAP/TIM-Info Manager, DACAS, PDM, Epic Editor, Adobe Professional/ FrameMaker/Oxygen XML is an added advantage.
Responsible to deliver the assigned tasks with quality and on time schedule compliance.
Strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to translate them into user-friendly content.
Research and analyze technical information to transform complex concepts into user-friendly content.
Develop documentation plans, schedules, and style guides to ensure consistency and adherence to industry standards.
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.

Soft Skills:

Excellent skill requirement in Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS word
Good written and oral communication
Strong teamwork skills.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge and experience working on maintenance and operations instructions.
Expertise in writing about complex aerospace/mechanical/electrical systems.
Good understanding of DITA XML standards.
Ability to standardize the structure, presentation, style, and language of content across manuals.
Proficiency in using XML authoring tools, content management systems, and documentation publishing platforms
Trouble Shooting abilities.
