Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Experience

6-8+years of experience in technical authoring within Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering domains.

Experience in Technical Authoring of Aerospace domain is mandatory*

Key Responsibilities

Author and maintain S1000D / iSpec 2200 technical publications
Prepare, edit, and modify XML data modules as per S1000D schemas and Business Rules (BR)
Perform BREX validation and resolve schema, BR, and CSDB errors
Modify and maintain style sheets (XSL/FrameMaker/Arbortext) as per customer requirements
Create and manage procedural, descriptive, fault isolation, IPC, and operational data modules
Ensure correct use of DMCs, information codes, applicability, and schemas
Apply Simplified Technical English (STE) where applicable
Collaborate with engineers, SMEs, illustrators, and CSDB teams
Manage revisions, configuration control, and quality audits

Required Skills

Strong hands-on experience with XML authoring in S1000D environments
Proficiency in Adobe FrameMaker and/or Arbortext Editor or Oxygen XML
In-depth knowledge of S1000D (Issue 4.2+), Business Rules, and BREX
Experience in style sheet customization and maintenance
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CSDB / CMS environments
Exposure to IETP and aircraft systems
Immediate Joiners or Candidates Serving notice period and ready to join within 30days or less will be preferred.
