Senior Tech Lead , Capital Markets

As an Engineering Lead at UBS, you will be responsible for designing and building Capital Markets and Trading applications using cutting-edge technology for brokerage and advisory flow across multiple asset classes. Your role will involve managing applications for trading functions covering front-office and middle office functions. You will need to be well-versed in technologies such as Java, Spring suite, and UI frameworks like React. Your experience in delivering high-performance and available applications will be crucial. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and improve the application stack supporting Capital Market functions - Architect and design the existing stack to target cloud state - Apply software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs to automated testing and DevOps practices - Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Build observability into solutions, monitor production health, and resolve incidents - Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, contribute to engineering culture, and internal communities - Act as a people and development manager to engineers in the Order and Trade Management Crew - Mentor engineers, support growth and career progression, and ensure high standards across the organization Qualifications Required: - 15+ years of hands-on experience in Java / Spring, with proficiency in Full stack, Back end services, or UI - UI development experience in React / Angular is a plus - Exposure to Messaging and Integration patterns like Kafka, MQ, Camel - Exposure to the Financial Services domain, including FIX protocol and order management applications - Experience in Azure / AKS cloud - Demonstrated full ownership and handling of all stakeholders, including support UBS is the world's largest global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
