Senior Tech Lead , Capital Markets

As an Engineering Lead at UBS, you will have the opportunity to work in an environment where Capital Markets and Trading applications are designed and built using cutting-edge technology for brokerage and advisory flow across multiple asset classes. You will be responsible for managing applications for trading functions covering front-office and middle office functions. Your expertise in technologies such as Java, Spring suite, and UI frameworks like React will be crucial in delivering high-performance and available applications. Additionally, you will have the chance to lead and grow a talented team of engineers. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and improve the application stack supporting Capital Market functions - Architect and design the existing stack to target cloud state - Apply a broad range of software engineering techniques, from analyzing user needs to automated testing and CI/CD - Ensure quality, security, reliability, and compliance of solutions - Implement functional and non-functional requirements - Build observability into solutions and monitor production health - Resolve incidents and remediate risks and issues - Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues - Contribute to engineering culture and internal communities - Act as a people and development manager to engineers in the Order and Trade Management Crew - Mentor and support growth and career progression of team members - Ensure high standards are applied across the organization **Qualifications Required:** - 15+ years of hands-on experience in Java/Spring - Proficiency in Full stack or Back end services or UI - UI development experience in React/Angular is a plus - Exposure to Messaging and Integration patterns (Kafka/MQ/Camel) - Experience in Financial Services domain, including FIX protocol and order management applications - Experience in Azure/AKS cloud - Demonstrated full ownership and handling of all stakeholders, including support UBS is the world's largest and the only truly global wealth manager, operating through four business divisions: Global Wealth Management, Personal & Corporate Banking, Asset Management, and the Investment Bank.
