Job Description

Chartered Accountant (CA) or CA Inter

Key Responsibilities:

Direct Taxation:

Ensure accurate and timely filing of
Income Tax Returns (ITR)
for individuals, firms, and corporates.
Handle
tax assessments, appeals, and representations
before tax authorities.
Monitor changes in tax laws and implement strategies for
effective tax planning and optimization
.
Review and file
advance tax, TDS returns
, and coordinate with auditors for statutory compliance.
Manage
tax audits
, and ensure documentation and working papers are complete and audit-ready.

Indirect Taxation (GST):

Ensure
timely filing of GST returns
(GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.) and reconciliation with books of accounts.
Handle
GST assessments, refunds, and departmental audits
.
Monitor
input tax credit (ITC)
utilization and compliance with GST regulations.
Represent the company during
GST inquiries or litigation matters
.

Advisory & Compliance:

Provide strategic advice on
tax implications
of business transactions and contracts.
Stay updated on
regulatory developments
and ensure organizational compliance with tax laws.
Handle
notices and queries
from Income Tax, GST, and other tax departments.
Coordinate with internal departments and external consultants for
smooth audits and inspections
.

Qualifications:

Qualified
Chartered Accountant (CA)
or
CA Inter
with strong practical knowledge in taxation.
Minimum of
10 years of post-qualification experience
in direct and indirect tax compliance, preferably in a corporate or consulting environment.
