Senior Tax Analyst

As a Tax Professional at the company, your primary role will involve the preparation, filing, and review of US Property tax returns, specifically focusing on Personal Property Tax, Real estate, and Annual Licensing with various state taxing jurisdictions. This position requires you to apply your specialty area knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. You will be responsible for identifying policy gaps, formulating policies, interpreting data, making recommendations, and conducting research to interpret factual information. Additionally, you will identify inconsistencies in data, define business issues, and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices. Your role will have a limited but direct impact on the business through the quality of tasks and services provided, primarily within your own team. **Key Responsibilities:** - Manage the tax liabilities of Citi, both directly and in connection with client transactions, including compliance, financial reporting, planning, and controversy processes. - Contribute to planning, accounting, filing, and reporting of the company's tax liability. - Assist in compiling information required for income tax filing and related requirements at all jurisdiction levels. - Provide advice on procedures and concepts in the technical/subject area and collaborate with others to achieve sub-function/job family objectives. - Enhance process efficiencies to align with unit goals. - Apply conceptual and practical knowledge in implementing policies within the business. - Perform any other duties and functions as assigned. **Qualifications:** - 10-12 years of relevant experience - Location: Mumbai - Education: Bachelors degree In this role, you will need to appropriately assess risk when making business decisions, with a focus on safeguarding Citigroup's reputation, clients, and assets.
