Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
SAP Analyst
with strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and SAP processes/integrations. This role will act as the primary liaison between WMS functional teams and SAP teams/vendors, ensuring that WMS-related SAP dependencies are identified, requirements are clearly defined, development is executed, and testing is successfully coordinated. The SAP Analyst will be critical in bridging business processes with SAP technical delivery to ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements Gathering & design
- Collaborate with WMS business/functional teams to capture SAP-related processes and integration requirements.
- Translate WMS functional needs into clear technical/functional specifications/designs for SAP teams and vendors.
- SAP Development Oversight
- Partner with SAP functional and technical teams to design, build, and deliver solutions (S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, IDocs, APIs).
- Oversee development activities to ensure solutions meet WMS requirements, performance expectations, and scalability standards.
- Support configuration and customizations where required to align with WMS processes.
- Testing & Validation
- Coordinate SAP-related testing cycles (integration, regression, UAT) with WMS teams and SAP delivery teams.
- Lead issue tracking, defect resolution, and validation of SAP-WMS interfaces.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the single point of contact between WMS program teams and SAP stakeholders/vendors.
- Engage with architects, QA, business SMEs, and external partners to ensure alignment across systems.
- Governance & Compliance
- Ensure SAP-related enhancements and integrations align with enterprise architecture, security, and compliance requirements.
- Support documentation, knowledge transfer, and adherence to Medline's CI/CD and change management processes.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Supply Chain, or related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience:
- 7+ years of IT experience with at least 3+ years in SAP integration and process analysis within Supply Chain/WMS contexts.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Integration Suite, PI/PO, IDocs, and API-based integrations.
- Strong knowledge of WMS and its integration points with SAP (inbound, outbound, inventory, automation, and financial touchpoints).
- Experience working with vendors and SAP teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
- Skills:
- Strong functional/technical understanding of SAP modules interacting with WMS (MM, SD, PP, FI/CO as applicable).
- Experience in designing end to end solutions of Business processes
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause analysis abilities.
- Strong communication skills to engage both IT and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with agile delivery and SAP project methodologies (Activate, ASAP).
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills to find root cause of complex issues
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale WMS modernization or SAP transformation programs.
- Exposure to automation systems, TMS, and BI reporting integration with SAP.
- Understanding of cloud-hosted SAP environments and modern integration frameworks.
- Experience managing offshore/nearshore SAP vendor teams.
