Job Description

  • Inventory Management: Manage and maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking stock quantities, replenishing supplies, and ensuring items are readily available when needed.
  • Supervision: Oversee a team of storekeepers or other inventory staff, delegating tasks and ensuring proper training and work allocation.
  • Inventory Control: Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, which may include periodic stock checks, audits, and cycle counting to prevent discrepancies and loss.
  • Ordering and Receiving: Coordinate the ordering and receiving of supplies and materials, including verifying shipments for accuracy and quality.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that the items in the store are of high quality and meet the required standards. Discard or report damaged or expired items.
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of inventory transactions, including receiving, issuing, and disposal of items, and generate reports as needed.
  • Vendor Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate terms, ensuring timely deliveries and competitive pricing.
