Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform advanced material characterization, including in-situ and operando techniques, to establish structure property correlations.
Conduct compositional and elemental analysis to verify material chemistry, purity, and consistency.
Translate half-cell electro catalyst performance to full-cell electrolyzer configurations, focusing on structure activity relationships and system-level integration.
Investigate material degradation and corrosion mechanisms in electrolyzer environments and recommend next-generation materials for improved durability and target performance.
Analyze failed, degraded, or used components to identify root causes and propose corrective measures for target performance
Define specs and quality standards for polymeric/inorganic materials to meet PEM lifetime targets
Establish robust experimental and validation test methods to evaluate reaction progress, process stability, and performance repeatability.
Support technology transfer from R&D to Process Engineering, assist during scale-up activities, and effectively present research findings to internal and external stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

M. Tech in Material Science and Engineering with 5+ years of experience or B. Tech in Material science and Engineering with 8+ years of experience in the energy materials or related industry with a focus on electrochemical systems
Proficient in materials characterization techniques as per ASTM standards
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with diverse stakeholders.
Experience in basic electrochemical testing of materials
