Overview Of The Role
The Senior Specialist Accounting & Reporting will support the end-to-end accounting and financial reporting activities for Flutter Entertainment India. The role involves hands-on accounting and reporting, experience in local treasury, tax & compliance, with adherence to global accounting policies and controls.The individual will be responsible for executing key month close activities, preparing reconciliations, supporting audits, topics in treasury, tax & compliance, reporting to Senior Manager Accounting & Reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Close
- Fundamentally strong with hands on experience with end-to-end Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable (Intercompany). General Ledger & reporting areas.
- AP: Posting of invoices, employee expense claims, payment proposals as per internal policies & processes.
- AR: Intercompany invoicing with supporting calculations, tracking, reconciliations & reporting thereof.
- GL: Execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities including preparation of journal entries, accruals, provisions, fixed assets accounting, recharges etc.
- Reporting: Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and support variance analysis. Assist in preparing financial statements and internal reporting packs
- Good understanding of processes in treasury, direct and indirect tax areas is an added advantage.
Financial Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with IFRS/Ind AS and internal accounting policies.
- Support statutory, internal, and group audits by preparing required schedules and documentation.
- Maintain adherence to internal controls, governance frameworks, and SOX/ICFR requirements.
Process & Documentation
- Maintain process documentation, SOPs, and control trackers for relevant activities.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support automation initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work closely with Tax, Procurement, People Services, Local and global teams.
- Provide timely responses to queries from auditors, business partners, and other internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure seamless end-to-end financial operations.
TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED TO HAVE
Essential
- CMA / MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification with 810 years of relevant experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, processes, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Financials).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred
- Experience in shared services, GCCs, or multinational finance environments.
- Familiarity with SOX/ICFR controls and audit support.
- Exposure to automation or reporting tools (Power BI, AI Tools etc.).
