Senior Software Tester

As a Senior Software Tester at TRU IT, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality standards in software development. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and executing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts. Your expertise in manual and automated testing will be instrumental in identifying defects and ensuring software quality. Collaboration with developers, product managers, and stakeholders will be key in understanding requirements and defining testing strategies. You will conduct various types of testing including functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing. Your proficiency in identifying, documenting, and tracking defects using bug-tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla will be essential. Adherence to QA best practices, industry standards, and SDLC processes will be expected from you. Working closely with cross-functional teams to analyze and troubleshoot issues will be part of your daily responsibilities. Additionally, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and automation frameworks, as well as mentor and guide junior QA team members. To excel in this role, you should have hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or Cypress. Proficiency in SQL, API testing tools like Postman or REST Assured, and performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner is required. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git or Jenkins will also be beneficial. Your problem-solving skills, ability to analyze complex software systems, and strong communication and collaboration skills will be essential in working effectively with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban and experience working in Agile environments will be advantageous.
