Senior Software Tester

As a Senior Software Tester at our company, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products through your expertise in automation and manual testing. Your responsibilities will include: - **Test Planning and Execution**: - Develop, review, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for manual and automated testing. - Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing to ensure software meets requirements and is defect-free. - **Automation Testing**: - Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to enhance testing efficiency and coverage. - Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for seamless deployment. - **Manual Testing**: - Perform thorough manual testing to identify issues that automated tests might overlook. - Document and report defects with detailed reproduction steps and potential impacts. - **Product Development and FRD Writing**: - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand product requirements and translate them into clear and concise FRDs. - Write and maintain comprehensive FRDs to guide development and testing processes effectively. - **Agile Methodology**: - Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to improving the testing process within the Agile framework. - **Stakeholder Communication**: - Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on testing progress, issues, and overall quality. - Offer actionable insights and recommendations to enhance product quality and testing efficiency. - **Quality Assurance**: - Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle. - Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to testing processes and tools. **Qualifications:** - **Education**: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered. - **Experience**: - Minimum of 8-9 years of software testing experience, with at least 2 years focused on automation testing. - Proficiency in writing and maintaining FRDs and strong understanding of Agile methodologies. - **Technical Skills**: - Proficiency with automation testing tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, and manual testing tools like JIRA, Bugzilla. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Git. - **Soft Skills**: - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Experience in testing web-based and mobile applications. - Knowledge of performance and security testing. - ISTQB or other relevant testing certifications.
