Senior Software Test Engineer (GenAI Projects)

We are looking for a Senior Software Test Engineer with deep expertise in automation using Python to lead the testing strategy across our Generative AI (GenAI) projects. This is a hands-on role where you will design, implement, and maintain automation test suites, as well as provide leadership in testing best practices.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in testing Big Data and distributed systems

You will not be required to work on RAGAs specifically, but must demonstrate strong Python programming and automation testing skills to ensure the quality and reliability of our AI-driven solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the overall testing strategy for GenAI projects, ensuring quality standards are met.

Design, develop, and maintain automation test scripts in Python for functional, integration, and regression testing.

Define and implement test automation frameworks and processes to improve efficiency and coverage.

Collaborate with developers, data scientists, and product managers to understand requirements and ensure proper test coverage.

Conduct code reviews of test scripts and mentor junior QA team members.

Drive test planning, estimation, execution, and defect management.

Ensure CI/CD pipeline integration for automated testing.

Continuously enhance test scripts for scalability and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in test automation using Python.

Strong knowledge of Python programming, including working with APIs, data handling, and libraries for automation.

Proven experience designing automation frameworks from scratch.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Pytest, Unittest, Selenium, Playwright, or similar.

Understanding of GenAI or AI/ML project workflows (preferred but not mandatory).

Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

Experience in integrating automation tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and lead a small team.

Preferred Skills:

Exposure to Generative AI concepts and testing approaches for AI-based systems.

Experience with API testing tools like Postman or automation for REST/GraphQL APIs.
