Senior Software Quality Engineer

You will be joining a global fintech leader in securities finance as a Senior Software Quality Engineer in the Bengaluru office. Quality is not just a process here - it's a mindset. As a key member of the QA technology team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS products. Your responsibilities will include designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for complex enterprise-level applications. You will create and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data in alignment with business requirements. Your role will involve leading efforts in both manual and automation testing, contributing to all phases of the testing lifecycle. Collaboration with product, business, and development teams will be essential to define test objectives and delivery timelines. You will conduct various types of testing across web, API, and backend layers and participate in Agile ceremonies, contributing to user story elaboration and acceptance criteria definition. Mentoring junior QA engineers, continuously monitoring and improving automated test coverage, and investigating defects and application issues will also be part of your responsibilities. Your role will involve driving continuous validation for high-quality delivery across web applications and distributed systems. To be successful in this role, you should have 2-5 years of commercial experience in software quality assurance, with expertise in both automation and manual testing. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting is required. Experience with UI and API automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, or RestAssured is essential. Moreover, a solid understanding of testing frameworks, SDLC, QA methodologies, and defect management practices is necessary. Working knowledge of CI/CD processes, integration tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Azure DevOps, and SQL for database testing is crucial. Critical thinking, effective troubleshooting skills, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders are highly valued. Ideally, you should have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
