Responsibilities AWS Cloud Senior Software Engineer Reporting relationship: This role will report to Delivery Manager/Senior Delivery Manager Role overview: Function as AWS Cloud Senior Software Engineer from Engineering support perspective focussing on day-to-day Technology operations service excellence including Incident Problem Management -SEV (Severity) management, ensuring adherence to SLA Support metrics and driving technical product enhancements to improve operational efficiency system stability.
Strong knowledge in AWS Cloud skills Python development, Cloud migration experience including good understanding of software Engineering concepts, CI/CD pipeline tools integrations. Experience in Kanban Scrum methodologies is preferred. Key Responsibilities: Strong knowledge on AWS Cloud Python Development. Good understanding on software Engineering frameworks, methodologies, and standard operating procedures to design, develop and maintain scalable and reliable systems. Responsible for day-to-day operations within Technology Operations including SEV management, On Call Support SLA compliance Incident reductions Documentation of key processes and applications, be part of Knowledge transitions keep focus on continues process improvement. Assist the team on process enhancements, build dashboards system health improvement initiatives Understands and adheres to development methodology, standards and Principles. Identifies potential process improvements. Creating technical documentation around business requirements with clarity, completeness, and specifics. Work with diverse teams aid in areas of issue resolutions, deep dive analysis troubleshooting. Service excellence: As part of On-Call Support , report handle SEV1, incident Problem Management (SLA bound). Work with leads to look at ways to conduct post-incident reviews and integrate learnings into continuous improvement cycles to reduce recurrence of critical issues. Product Health Improvement Initiatives: Analyse key metrics to identify trends and patterns, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and propose engineering-driven enhancements to product features aimed at improving the Technical Application Score. Leverage automation and tooling to streamline RCA and accelerate the deployment of corrective actions. Security Environment Management Support remediate critical and high security vulnerabilities, ensure code deployments pipeline migrations as per Engineering standards. Deliver scheduled AVA (Application Vulnerability) tests, DR (Disaster Recovery) tests ADO to GitHub migrations Operational Efficiency - Prepare documentations for key apps and processes , including centralized knowledge base for troubleshooting, processes, and solutions Get actively involved in Training, self-development knowledge sharing Good verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building. Qualifications Graduate Bachelor s degree (any stream) AWS Developer certification would be an added advantage Additional Information Skill set: Strong knowledge on AWS Python Development. Exposure to Java, Informatica, MuleSoft and .NET is good to have. Good Python knowledge (including frameworks like Addo or Django) with understanding of data types, error handling, best coding practices. Database SQL(Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS), NoSQL(Amazon DynamoD3), Postgres, JSON, file Good experience working with Amazon S3, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, CDK, IAM, Amazon Athena Exposure to Tools like JIRA/Confluence/Service Now Well versed with DevOps practices (TDD, CI, CD, etc).
