Senior Software Engineer - POS Migration About the Role We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the successful migration of our Point of Sale (POS) systems. This position requires a strong understanding of Windows operating systems, software development principles, and a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and implementation of software solutions to support POS migration projects. Develop and maintain software applications related to POS systems, including device drivers, firmware updates, and diagnostic tools. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software applications to ensure stability, reliability, and performance. Investigate and resolve technical issues related to POS hardware and software, including driver compatibility, connectivity problems, and performance bottlenecks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, product managers, and field service technicians, to ensure successful project delivery. Stay abreast of the latest technologies and industry best practices related to POS systems, operating systems, and software development. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Document all work thoroughly, including design specifications, test plans, and troubleshooting procedures. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. 8+ years of professional experience in software development. Strong proficiency in C++, C#, and .NET Framework. Experience with Windows operating systems, including Windows 10 and embedded Windows. Experience with Windows scanning tools and utilities. Experience with GUI development and design principles. Experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Experience with USB and Bluetooth protocols. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Passion for technology and a desire to learn new things. Desired Skills: Experience with POS systems and retail environments. Experience with Agile development methodologies.
