About the Role:

Senior Software Engineer (Backend PHP, WordPress, Shopify)

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing CMS and eCommerce platforms while collaborating closely with front-end teams to deliver high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain
custom WordPress plugins and themes
following coding standards (including HOOKS concepts).
Customize and integrate
third-party plugins
such as WooCommerce and other eCommerce extensions.
Build and manage
Shopify apps and custom features
.
Work on
backend logic
,
database structures
, and
API integrations
for high-performance systems.
Implement
payment gateways
,
shipping modules
, and
eCommerce functionality
.
Optimize website performance, scalability, and database efficiency.
Collaborate with designers, front-end developers, and QA teams to deliver seamless experiences.
Use
Git/Bitbucket
for version control and code management.

Required Skills & Abilities:

Strong experience with
PHP
and backend
WordPress development
(themes & plugins).
Hands-on experience with
WooCommerce
and
Shopify
development/customization.
Strong knowledge of
MySQL
, database design, and
query optimization
.
Understanding of
RESTful APIs
and data formats (JSON, XML).
Experience using
Git/Bitbucket
for version control.
Ability to write clean, maintainable, and optimized code.
Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
