Senior Software Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Software Development:

  Design, develop, test, and deploy Java-based applications and microservices using frameworks like Spring Boot, ensuring code quality, testability, and adherence to best practices.

• Kafka Integration:

  Implement and manage Apache Kafka for real-time event streaming, including designing topics, producers, consumers, and stream processing applications (e.g., Kafka Streams, KSQL).

• System Design & Architecture:

  Collaborate with architects and product managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions, focusing on scalable and resilient system designs, often within a microservices architecture.

• Performance & Optimization:

  Optimize Kafka configurations, performance tune applications, and monitor systems to ensure reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data pipelines and applications.

• Troubleshooting & Support:

  Troubleshoot and debug issues in production environments, ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining system reliability.

• Mentorship & Code Quality:

  Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor junior developers, promoting a culture of high-quality code and continuous improvement.

• Technology Exploration:

  Stay updated with the latest Kafka features, enhancements, and related technologies, evaluating their applicability to existing and new systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Experience:

  Proven experience as a Java Developer, with significant experience in building and deploying enterprise-level applications.

• Java Proficiency:

  Strong command of core Java programming, object-oriented design principles, and experience with frameworks like Spring (Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Cloud).

• Kafka Expertise:

  Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka, including producing and consuming messages, topic management, and understanding of Kafka Connect and Kafka Streams.

• Architecture Knowledge:

  Experience with microservices architecture, RESTful APIs, and event-driven design patterns.

• Database Skills:

  Proficiency with relational or NoSQL databases.

• Education:

  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
