Description
As a Software Engineer in the Web Enablement team, your primary role will involve developing and maintaining technical designs based on requirements, coding application code while adhering to coding standards, and providing status updates as required by projects. You will be expected to follow established project execution processes, resolve queries/issues, and offer application/functional support to peers and juniors. Additionally, building a holistic understanding of applications & the underlying domain, diagnosing and resolving system problems, providing training to new team members, and automating repetitive tasks will be crucial aspects of your responsibilities. You are also required to be an expert/SME on applications/functionality to offer necessary support to business users. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain technical designs based on requirements - Develop application code while following coding standards - Report status updates as required by projects - Follow established project execution processes - Resolve queries/issues and provide application/functional support to peers & juniors - Build a holistic understanding of applications & underlying domain - Diagnose and resolve medium and complex system problems - Provide training to new team members and other teams on business processes and applications - Provide permanent resolutions for repeating issues and build automation for repetitive tasks - Be an expert/SME on applications/functionality to provide required support to business users Qualifications: Must Have - Education: Graduate/Bachelor's degree (any stream) Skill Set: Technical/Functional - HTML, CSS, and front-end JavaScript experience - Experience in theming and supporting a content management system - Drupal theming and configuration - Experience with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 - Web components design/design systems - Jest/Nightwatch.js/Happo - Node - CI/CD tooling, for example, GitHub Actions - Cloud platforms, for example, Pantheon and AWS Other - Strong technical skills with knowledge of SDLC - Good aptitude, positive attitude, strong reasoning, and communication skills - Must be a good team player - Good analytical, research-oriented, and time management skills - Good learnability and quick grasping ability - Stretch mindset, ability to train junior team members In addition to technical qualifications, you are expected to possess competencies such as making sound business decisions, embracing change, building strong partnerships, getting results, acting strategically, and leading and cultivating talent.
