You will design and develop solutions to meet business requirements, enhance our engineering teams' efficiency, and optimize the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Your responsibilities will include identifying automation opportunities, contributing to our engineering culture through mentoring and peer assistance, and actively participating in architectural design reviews and troubleshooting. Additionally, you will work in a Scrum team with global stakeholders and leverage internal tooling for infrastructure, platform, and software improvements. Your essential experiences and skills should include a strong background in CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, critical thinking for solving technical challenges, proficiency across the SDLC, scripting languages proficiency (Python, Groovy, Bash), Git version control, cloud environment experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), and familiarity with containerization tools and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes). Desirable experiences and skills would involve Java (Spring Boot) applications, Unix/Linux knowledge, automated test infrastructure experience, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet), static code analysis & security scanning pipelines, centralized monitoring solutions implementation, and zero downtime solutions building (including blue/green deployments). For this role, a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or equivalent work experience is required. You should have 6-10 years of experience as a DevOps engineer with a background in Software Engineering. In addition to your technical responsibilities, you will be expected to uphold Mastercard's corporate security responsibilities by following security policies, ensuring information confidentiality and integrity, reporting security violations or breaches, and completing mandatory security trainings as per Mastercard's guidelines.
