Senior Software Engineer Backend

hands-on ownership role

Key Responsibilities

• Own and enhance the

  Node.js / Express backend

  using

  TypeScript and Sequelize

• Design, optimize, and manage

  PostgreSQL schemas, queries, and migrations

• Build and maintain

  RESTful APIs

  for web and mobile applications
• Integrate

  StackAuth, GST/E-invoice APIs

  , and other third-party services
• Implement

  Redis caching

  ,

  RabbitMQ

  , and worker queues for asynchronous processing
• Dockerize services and manage

  CI/CD pipelines

  (GitHub Actions, Render, AWS)
• Establish system

  observability

  (logging, metrics, tracing) for operational reliability
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and enforce coding standards
  
• Collaborate asynchronously with architects and consultants through documentation and debugging
  
• Participate in architectural discussions and propose scalability and performance improvements

Qualifications

• 5 to 8 years of backend or full-stack experience in

  SaaS / B2B platforms

• Strong experience in

  REST API design and data modeling

• Hands-on experience with

  PostgreSQL optimization and indexing

• Experience with

  Docker, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure

• Ability to work independently with an ownership mindset
  
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment
  
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
  
• Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt quickly
  

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Microservices or event-driven architecture
  
• Knowledge of

  Next.js or React

  (for debugging)
• Observability tools like

  Prometheus, Grafana

• Exposure to

  ERP or inventory management systems

• Understanding of

  supply chain or accounting workflows

• Familiarity with

  EDI standards
