Senior Software Engineer - Backend

Role Overview: You will be joining the Xbox Experiences and Platforms team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in reimagining how game creators bring content to life. Your focus will be on transforming the developer journey by building intuitive tools, resilient services, and responsive support systems that empower creators of all sizes, from indie studios to AAA publishers, to work faster and with greater confidence. Key Responsibilities: - Work on products and services utilizing the latest technologies from Microsoft. - Collaborate with experts across geographic and organizational boundaries to make impactful changes. - Follow modern engineering principles and practices, including code reviews and project management. - Tackle challenges related to working with large-scale systems. - Engage in governance activities, manage technical tasks, and ensure quality assurance through automated testing and integration validation. - Share knowledge through mentorship and regular team interactions. - Develop functional and technical documentation, write unit and integration tests, and update Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Qualification Required: - Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 7+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python OR equivalent experience.
