Senior Software Engineer- Backend

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and RESTful APIs with focus on scalability and performance.
• Build cloud-native serverless solutions using AWS Managed Services, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, architects, and product managers to deliver end-to-end solutions aligned with business goals.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization mechanisms using Okta, AWS Cognito, OAuth2, and OpenID Connect.
• Diagnose performance bottlenecks, optimize backend systems, and drive continuous performance improvements.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and provide mentorship to junior/mid-level engineers.
• Champion agile development practices and foster a collaborative, inclusive team culture.
• Lead innovation initiatives, integrating AI tools (Generative AI, LLMs, Cursor, Windsurf) into workflows.
• Promote the organization's core values, diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning culture.

Skills Required:

• Strong backend development skills in Node.js and TypeScript
• Expertise in AWS Cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, Cognito, CloudFront)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and system design
• Experience in building secure authentication and authorization mechanisms (OAuth2, OpenID Connect, Okta, Cognito)
• Proficiency in performance optimization and troubleshooting backend systems
• Familiarity with AI integration, including Generative AI and LLMs
• Strong understanding of agile development practices
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers
