Senior Software Engineer

You will be joining our team as a Software Engineer or Senior Software Engineer with expertise in Quarkus and Red Hat Fuse. Your primary responsibility will involve designing, developing, and maintaining integration solutions using the mentioned technologies. The role requires hands-on experience in Java, Kafka-based event streaming, RESTful APIs, relational databases, and CI/CD pipelines deployed on the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP). As part of the team, you will work on building robust microservices and integration systems in a cloud-native environment. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing scalable microservices using the Quarkus framework, building and maintaining integration flows and APIs with Red Hat Fuse (Apache Camel), developing and consuming RESTful web services and APIs, designing and optimizing Kafka producers and consumers for real-time data streaming, and writing efficient Java code following best practices. Additionally, you will work with relational databases, collaborate with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, deploy applications on OCP, participate in code reviews, troubleshoot production issues, and stay updated on emerging technologies to suggest improvements. To be successful in this role, you should have strong experience in Java and the Quarkus framework, expertise in Red Hat Fuse for integration development, proficiency in designing and consuming REST APIs, experience with Kafka, a solid understanding of relational databases and SQL, familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment tools, hands-on experience with OCP and Docker, knowledge of microservices architecture and agile methodologies, excellent problem-solving skills, and effective communication abilities. Preferred qualifications include experience with messaging systems like Kafka, knowledge of Java frameworks such as Spring Boot, familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus and Grafana, understanding of security best practices in microservices and API development, and cloud platform experience.
