Senior Software Development Engineer

You will be working as a Senior Software Development Engineer in this role. Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating the current Selenium framework architecture and suggesting improvements to enhance scalability, reliability, and maintainability. You will be designing, developing, and maintaining automated test suites using Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, and Cucumber. In addition, you will design and implement new modules or components to expand the framework's functionality as per project requirements. It will be essential to develop efficient Selenium test scripts following best practices and design patterns. Refactoring existing scripts to enhance readability, modularity, and performance will also be part of your tasks. A deep understanding of API testing using Rest Assured is crucial for this role. You should be capable of improving the existing automation framework within the team to streamline tasks and boost productivity. Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure comprehensive test coverage is a key aspect of this position. Continuous enhancement of QA processes, tasks, and activities to improve efficiency and effectiveness will be expected from you. Mentoring team members in the QA team by providing guidance on best practices and technical expertise to reduce the effort in the existing automation cycle will also be part of your responsibilities. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java is required, along with experience in CI/CD pipelines and familiarity with tools like Jenkins. Integrating Selenium tests with CI/CD pipelines for nightly regression testing is an essential task. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience working in Agile teams are preferred. Additionally, having a basic understanding of DevOps concepts will be beneficial for this role.
