You will actively be involved in offering valuable guidance and support to other developers, thereby building meaningful e-commerce solutions. This will be done for a range of businesses from early-stage brands to brands serving close to a million consumers.
As a Senior Shopify Developer, you will handle projects independently and bring about a positive change in the e-commerce industry.

What will you be doing

Understand task requirements and provide effort estimates of assigned tasks.
Work on client requirements end-to-end, from writing code to reporting performance issues and resolving them.
Build performance-oriented standard code that runs on all major browsers.
Write about, present, and share your learnings and work internally and with the wider community via blogs, guides, and social channels.

What skills and experience do you need

Expert understanding of Shopify's code structure (Themes, App Development, Integrations, etc).
Proficiency in creating custom Shopify themes and altering pre-existing templates.
Strong knowledge of product, collection, order, & customer APIs in Shopify.
Mandatory experience in any server-side language (PHP, Node.js, Ruby, or Python).
Understanding of the process for app and theme submission in Shopify.
Experience with at least 1 full App development cycle from scratch to listing on the Shopify App Store.
Proficient with Shopify Liquid, jQuery, CSS, and HTML.
Skilled understanding of version control tools like GIT or SVN.
Experience with e-commerce migrations from other platforms to Shopify.
Knowledge of new updates like Online Store 2.0.
Ability to handle projects independently.
Strong in-person and client communication skills.
Adaptability to ambiguity and unclear client briefs.
Genuine care for client vision and business, with a desire to make things better and a balanced sense of optimism and humility.
Expertise in other e-commerce platforms like Magento, WooCommerce, or BigCommerce will give you an edge.
