Senior SDET - Performance Testing

As a Performance Testing Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the robustness and scalability of backend platforms and services. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing and implementing performance testing strategies that align with non-functional requirements (NFRs). - Developing, maintaining, and enhancing automated load and stress test suites using Gatling and Java for microservices and cloud-native deployments. - Gaining expertise in backend infrastructure, including APIs, databases, cloud environments like AWS and GCP, and microservices architectures with Docker. - Setting up, scaling, and managing testing environments with Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters, including configuring horizontal pod autoscaling (HPA) for real-world scalability validation. - Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on performance metrics to identify and address bottlenecks, collaborating with DevOps, Backend Engineers, and SREs for tuning. - Creating comprehensive documentation on test strategies, scripts, findings, and recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Contributing to capacity planning, infrastructure tuning, and upgrades, with a focus on evaluating and validating autoscaling of containers and pods in cloud ecosystems. Qualifications required for this role: - Strong experience in performance testing and test automation using Gatling and Java. - Proficiency in backend infrastructure, APIs, databases, cloud environments (AWS, GCP), and microservices architectures. - Knowledge of Docker containers, Kubernetes clusters, and horizontal pod autoscaling. - Ability to analyze performance metrics and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Excellent documentation skills for conveying technical information to various stakeholders.
