Senior SDET - Performance Testing

As a Performance Testing Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust performance testing strategies for backend platforms and services. Your key responsibilities will include: - Developing, maintaining, and enhancing scalable, automated load and stress test suites using Gatling and Java. These tests will target microservices and cloud-native deployments. - Attaining deep expertise in backend infrastructure, including APIs, databases, cloud environments such as AWS and GCP, and microservices architectures powered by containerization with Docker. - Setting up, scaling, and managing testing environments by leveraging Docker containers and Kubernetes clusters. This includes configuring horizontal pod autoscaling (HPA) to validate real-world scalability under load. - Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on performance metrics. You will use these insights to identify and address bottlenecks, collaborating cross-functionally with DevOps, Backend Engineers, and SREs for optimal tuning. - Preparing comprehensive documentation covering test strategies, scripts, findings, and actionable recommendations for both technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Contributing to ongoing capacity planning, infrastructure tuning, and recommendations for upgrades.
