Senior SAP OPAL & PP Functional Consultant AMS / Support Role

Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Senior SAP OPAL & PP Consultant to join our AMS project team. The consultant will be primarily responsible for supporting and enhancing OPAL (One Process Acceleration Layer) functionalities, while also providing support for SAP Production Planning (PP) module.

Key Responsibilities: Provide L2/L3 support for SAP OPAL solutions in a global AMS setup. Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests related to OPAL and PP. Collaborate with business users, functional teams, and technical teams to provide end-to-end support. Implement changes and enhancements in OPAL based on user requirements or design documents. Support integrations with upstream/downstream modules and external systems. Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and provide permanent solutions for recurring issues. Monitor batch jobs and interfaces for OPAL and PP modules. Document solutions, workarounds, configuration changes, and updates in ServiceNow (or other ITSM tools). Work in shifts and provide on-call support as required.

Skills & Experience:

Primary Skill SAP OPAL: Strong hands-on experience in OPAL processes, templates, and accelerators. Experience with OPAL deployment in global environments. Understanding of OPAL architecture, SAP Best Practices, and Activate methodology. Ability to analyze OPAL Fiori apps, data models, and standard processes.

Secondary Skill – SAP PP: Good understanding of Master Data (BOM, Routing, Work Centers). Hands-on experience in MRP, Order Management, Production Execution. Exposure to PP-PI (Process Industries) and integration with MM/QM/WM is a plus. Familiarity with standard reports, transactions, and SAP tables in PP.

General Skills: Experience in working in ITIL-based support projects. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and within a team. Experience using ticketing tools like ServiceNow or Remedy.
