Senior SAP BW/Datasphere Consultant

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior SAP BW/Datasphere Consultant with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and optimizing SAP Business Warehouse (BW) and SAP Datasphere solutions. This role involves leading end-to-end data and analytics projects, from requirements gathering to deployment, with a focus on high-volume data performance, integration with S/4HANA, and enabling self-service analytics. The ideal candidate will bring architectural expertise to build scalable data lakes and drive business adoption through intuitive dashboards and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of SAP BW/4HANA and SAP Datasphere solutions, including data modeling, ETL processes, and integration with S/4HANA CDS views.
2. Conduct business workshops to capture requirements, translate them into functional and technical specifications, and recommend optimal SAP technologies (e.g., ODP, OData, replication flows).
3. Optimize performance for high-volume data scenarios, including task chain orchestration, monitoring, alerting, and data quality governance.
4. Develop and deploy analytics solutions using SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), including dashboards, reports, and self-service capabilities.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with ECC/S/4HANA modules (e.g., FI/CO, SD/MM, P2P/OTC) and cloud platforms like AWS or BTP.
6. Provide leadership in Agile/Scrum environments, mentoring junior team members and driving project phases from inception to post-implementation support.
7. Ensure security, access controls, and compliance in data lake designs while promoting user adoption through training and enablement.

Required Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP BW (including BW/4HANA) and SAP Datasphere implementations, with at least 3 years focused on Datasphere architecture and data lakehouse designs.
3. Strong expertise in SAP BW backend (data flows, modeling, custom content) and frontend (queries, reporting).
4. Proficiency in SAP Datasphere features such as data modeling, federation, semantic layers, and integration with SAC.
5. Experience with S/4HANA CDS views, ODP/OData extractions, and performance tuning for large-scale data environments.
6. Familiarity with analytics tools like SAC, BusinessObjects, or Tableau for dashboard development.
7. Proven ability to work in Agile methodologies, including as a Scrum Master or team lead.
8. Excellent communication skills for engaging stakeholders from business users to C-level executives.
