Job Description

Overview:

As a Senior Systems Engineer, be responsible for all activities related to BODS and BoBJ

Responsibilities:

SAP BODS:

Design and develop ETL jobs using SAP BODS to extract, transform, and load data from various sources (SAP HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, etc. )
Implement delta loads, data cleansing, and transformation logic
Optimize dataflows for performance and scalability
Integrate with cloud platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure, AWS) as needed
Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs and resolve data quality issues
Proactively analyze existing ETL designs to identify inefficiencies or faulty logic and recommend improvements.
Ensure high performance and reliability of dataflows through tuning and optimization techniques.

SAP BOBJ:

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using Web Intelligence, Analysis for Office and Analysis Edition for OLAP
Create and manage Universes using Information Design Tool (IDT)
Work with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports
Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and other IT/Business teams
Document technical specifications, data mappings, and job schedules
Participate in code reviews and performance tuning
Provide support for production issues and enhancements
