Job Description

As a Catering Sales Manager at The Westin Mumbai Garden City, your primary responsibility will be handling local social catering opportunities to achieve and exceed the hotel catering sales revenue goals. You will provide day-to-day supervision to Catering Sales associates, ensuring proper turnover of business for quality service delivery. Your role involves contracting and closing local catering and social business, actively up-selling each business opportunity to maximize revenue, and implementing the brand's service strategy to drive customer loyalty through service excellence. To qualify for this position, you should have a high school diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in sales and marketing, guest services, front desk, or a related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or a related major from an accredited university is also accepted with no work experience required. Your core work activities will include identifying, qualifying, and soliciting new catering business, understanding market trends and competitors, maximizing revenue through creative offerings, and managing sales activities related to local social catering business. You will collaborate with property Sales and Marketing colleagues, work closely with the Food and Beverage team to develop menus, and maintain exceptional customer service to drive satisfaction and loyalty. Furthermore, you will be responsible for executing sales strategies, building successful relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring a seamless turnover from sales to operations. Your dedication to providing exceptional customer service, resolving guest issues promptly, and meeting business needs by performing additional responsibilities will be crucial for success in this role.
